How Does Silhouette Instalift® work?
Once the Silhouette Instalift® sutures are placed in the deepest layers of the skin, the skin is pulled taut and hollow micro-cones on the sutures work to immediately lock tissue into place. Slowly dissolving, these unique, bi-directional micro-cones secure the facial tissue in a new, elevated position. Over the next 4-6 months, your body produces new collagen around these cones and sutures, creating a more volumized appearance and adding firmness to the skin.
Am I a Good Candidate for Silhouette Instalift®?
The Silhouette Instalift® is performed to lift and suspend the cheeks, midface, and even neck into a more elevated position and gradually renew your natural collagen in the treated area. The treatment may also be recommended in conjunction with other procedures we offer at Been Facial Plastics to provide enhanced results. The Silhouette Instalift® can be performed as a stand-alone solution to address your rejuvenation needs or may be combined with other procedures to provide enhanced results.
What to Expect After Your Silhouette Instalift®
Once the local anesthetic is injected and allowed to take effect, you should feel only pressure or a slight tugging sensation during the procedure. Minor tenderness, swelling, and bruising may be present for 7-10 days after the treatment. During the early recovery period, there may be slight indentations where the threads are inserted, but this typically resolves within a few days. We recommend limiting strenuous activities and dental procedures for several weeks to help achieve the best outcome. While there will be immediate lifting, volume and firmness of the skin may continue to improve for 4-6 months as new collagen is formed around the dissolving threads.
Your results will evolve over time with age and the effects of gravity. Maintenance treatments are recommended every 18-24 months for optimal results. Our expert staff can recommend a treatment plan during your initial consultation.
