We all know them when we see them. Those pesky skin irregularities that, over time, become more prevalent on our faces as we age. Fine wrinkles or acne scars can affect our facial skin texture. Pigmentation changes including freckles, sunspots or visible blood vessels distort the uniform appearance of our faces. And the natural loss of skin elasticity over time causes us to lose our youthful facial glow.
At Been Facial Plastics our goal is to help you feel and look your best, utilizing a variety of options. For these issues affecting skin quality, less invasive treatments may be a preferable option for some clients. Our physicians and staff will help to determine the most appropriate individualized treatment plan.

What Sets Been Facial Plastics Facial Laser Rejuvenation Apart?
At Been Facial Plastics we are proud to incorporate the Cynosure Icon™ platform into our minimally-invasive facial treatments. This multi-faceted device represents an industry standard that uses different forms of energy. The different handpieces can be used separately or packaged together to impact the face in different ways, based on individual needs.
Icon™ MaxG IPL
The MaxG is the cornerstone method for targeting unwanted facial pigment and vessels. This treatment uses broad-spectrum light energy to remove blemishes via the body’s natural healing responses.
1540 nm Laser Skin Renewal
The 1540 nm handpiece uses non-ablative fractionated energy that penetrates below the surface of the skin to affect deeper layers that contribute to skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles. These treatments may also be used to smooth and soften acne and post-surgical scars.
What to Expect Post Procedure
One of the best features of the Cynosure Icon™ platform is the minimal downtime associated with treatments. The procedures themselves are generally very well tolerated with topical numbing alone. Patients may experience some mild swelling and skin erythema following the treatments. These issues typically resolve within 24 hours.
Because of the less invasive nature of these treatments, most patients undergo a series of treatments over the span of 2-3 months. With each treatment, better and longer-lasting results can be achieved.
