  • Skin growths that are found early

What Sets Drs. Geeta and Mark Been Apart?

Drs. Geeta and Dr. Mark don’t take small skin growths for granted. These growths can cause patients to feel very self-conscious. We will work with you to understand your concerns and make a difference that improves your self-image. With the combined expertise of an oculoplastic surgeon and facial plastic surgeon, we know the proper methods to remove lesions, even if they are in difficult locations such as around the eyes or nose.

The removal of these growths can be done in our office with only topical numbing cream or local anesthetic. If the mole or skin lesion is suspicious in appearance, we will send the specimen to our pathologist for diagnosis. This will help determine if additional treatment is necessary.

What to Expect after Mole Removal or Skin Lesion Removal

Patients rarely have pain following removal. Depending on the method of treatment, you will go home with some ointment to apply topically or with a small bandage. The good news is that there is hardly ever any downtime related to the procedure. If stitches are required, you will usually need to come back to our office the next week. The most common issue following the procedure is some pink coloration to the skin, which will fade over the weeks following the procedure and can be covered with makeup.
