Reverse the signs of aging and volume loss in your hands with a hand rejuvenation treatment using Radiesse. While people very commonly rejuvenate their faces with volume, their hands can betray their true age. The loss of subcutaneous volume and thinning of skin creates an unnatural emphasis on the tendons and vessels of the hand.
Radiesse (Hand Rejuvenation)
Is a Hand Rejuvenation Right for You?
At Been Facial Plastics, we perform a safe and easy volume replacement using the dermal filler Radiesse®. When you come to our office, we will examine your hands and determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure.
The best candidates for Radiesse® hand rejuvenation are those with classic signs of hand aging:
- Thin, wrinkled skin
- Transparent skin making deeper structures more apparent
- Volume loss accentuating tendons and veins on the back of the hand
What Sets Dr. Mark Been Apart?
Because of Dr. Mark’s training as a facial plastic surgeon, he has experience with a wide variety of facial fillers, including Radiesse®. Now that Radiesse® is FDA-approved for volumization of the hands, he is able to create a natural, rejuvenated appearance of the hands in a safe and reproducible manner. He welcomes you to come in for a consultation to determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure.
What to Expect after your Radiesse treatment
You may notice small skin blemishes at the injection sites immediately following the procedure. These subside within one hour. Bruising may occur, but is generally mild. To reduce the risk of bruising, we ask that you do not use any blood-thinning products (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) one week before the injections. Some patients experience mild swelling and tightness. Icing and massage to the hands can minimize the severity. Results usually take effect within a day or two and may last up to one year.
