Brow Lift (Forehead Lift)

For both men and women, the eyebrow area can sag or flatten over time. Oftentimes, this creates a heavy appearance of the brow. The result is a tired, sometimes angry appearance of the face. There can also be deep wrinkles between the eyebrows and on the forehead that further contribute to an aged appearance. To reverse these changes, the Brow Lift , or Forehead Lift is intended to restore the brow tissues to a more youthful position, make the brows more symmetric, and reduce the severity of wrinkles. The result is a brighter, happier appearance of the area around the eyes and the face overall.

Is a Brow Lift Right for You?

This procedure is an option for both men and women. The best candidates for a Brow (Forehead) lift are those with the following characteristics:

  • Heavy, drooping eyebrows that fall over the upper eyelids
  • Fullness or puffiness that develops under the eyebrows
  • Asymmetric eyebrow position
  • Horizontal forehead lines and vertical lines between the eyebrows

What Sets Dr. Mark Been’s Brow Lift Apart?

There are a number of techniques that can be used to perform a brow lift. At Been Facial Plastics, we utilize minimally invasive endoscopic techniques, or combine brow repositioning with upper eyelid procedures, which leads to more natural results. The incisions are placed within the hair-bearing scalp so that, once healed, they are unnoticeable. Most patients will see an immediate improvement to their brows following surgery.

Here at Been Facial Plastics, we stress natural results without producing an artificial or “surprised” appearance. Incisions are virtually undetectable, the results are long-lasting and none of your hair is removed during the procedure. Everything is performed at our own private surgical center, ensuring your comfort and privacy.

What to Expect after your Brow Lift

Swelling and bruising are the most common and expected developments following the procedure. There may also be temporary sensations of forehead tightness and numbness. These issues tend to be worst two to three days after surgery.

Head elevation and cool compress application improve post-operative recovery. With each passing day and week, the results become more visible, but with brow lifts you will be able to see the new brow position almost immediately. Within one week of the procedure, you can resume light activities and apply make-up. Depending on individual healing characteristics, final results are typically visible within several weeks or months.
